I'm Joshua Valenzuela- a Junior at Rincon-University High School in Tucson, Arizona. I'm an actor, a history buff, an eccentric, and most of all a Junior Statesman. I joined JSA during 2016 and have loved it ever since. I've done everything I can to help JSA- I've fundraised for my chapter and I've been active and open in my ideas and beliefs. I currently serve as the CIA Agent for Tucson and as a Fundraising Agent for Tucson.
We have shown that a small state without big schools and big money can not only survive in JSA, it can thrive. But with greatness comes a need for responsibility, accountability, and efficiency. If we want to continue making JSAZ the best state it can be, we must maintain a strong and effective leadership. It is my intention to step forward and take this responsibility upon myself to ensure that JSAZ is moving in the right direction. I have numerous ideas for the next year that I feel can revitalize our state. It is ultimately my goal not only to see to it that our state enjoys strength and stability, but also growth and prosperity so that we may continue to go forward and not only do the best job we can do as statesmen, but to continue in our mission to spread awareness and patriotism.
With big JSA states on the West and East Coasts boasting big numbers in Convention attendance, countless chapters and big bucks in fundraising, it’s easy to feel like Arizona is less significant than it really is. But never in my life have I seen a brighter and more persistent group of individuals, and I believe our passion, our wits, and our love of our State sets us apart. I just can’t put into words how moved I am by the people who make JSA happen. From the brand new Freshman to the wise Senior, we all play a big part in this great organization. I have been committed to JSA since the very first day I joined, and ever since, my love and passion has grown stronger. I have been more than honored to serve JSAZ in Cabinet and thus I would be even greatly honored if you voted for me and granted me the privilege to serve as your Lieutenant Governor.
